North Dakota's oldest active Hereford breeder — Since 1936 Our herd is made up of select top cows, many are daughters of Mohican Quest 26C, a trait leader for maternal milk. Our cows are mostly polled with a few top horned females including three Oxley bred cows. Our main herd sire is VCR East Kodiak 506E, trait leader in four highly heritable, important traits; ribeye area, weaning weight, yearling weight and scrotal, as well as in the top 1% for BMI and BII $ Indexes and the top 5% for CHB $ Index.. Our junior herd sire is Rangeline 19H Canyon 14M, who scanned a 17.2 yearling ribeye and tested homozygous positive for the marbling gene. In the spring of 2004 we added Momentum to our lineup. Momentum is a Boomer 46B grandson and from Rice's great Gloria family with a 20.05 ribeye and 6.28 IMF at 19 months. These sires all have great performance and will give us a leg up in the race for “Carcass Cattle.” We offer cattle for sale privately, at our Red Power bull sale, and at the North Star Classic, our state sale.
